Yonkers is the largest city in Westchester County located only 2 miles north of New York City.  It spreads itself out over the hills along the Hudson River.   While in town you may want to visit Philipse Manor Hall, a colonial manor house which serves as a museum today highlighting life before the American Revolution.  You may also want to visit the famous Yonkers Raceway/ Empite City which is a harness race track that has recently legalized video slot machine gambling. 

Yonkers offers many diverse neighborhoods that are worth taking a look at to experience the different cultures the city has to offer.  There are areas also along the Hudson that have taken an interest in preserving their history offering panoramic views and Victorian homes.
