David may you Rest In Peace & I’ve NEVER seen a love like my friend Maria had for you. Whenever us girls in the office would complain about our spouses Maria ALWAYS had high praises for you. My heartfelt condolences to you, my dear, dear friend Maria & your children & family. David will forever be an Angel protecting his booboo always.

Dear Dave, you will be deeply missed. Thank you for helping me out with SuccessMaker Server issues with a smile. I'm praying for peace for you and your family.

Celina Coss:
You once told me that you were the man. In fact, you yelled it in the parking lot of a Chase at 4 in the afternoon. And I couldn't roll my eyes any harder. I think there is no better proof that you were the man than the number of people grieving your loss. There wasn't anyone you couldn't talk to, and there wasn't anything you couldn't do, except perhaps stay humble. If I were you, I probably wouldn't be humble either. Say hi to Blondie and grandpa for me. I will love you forever dad.

Leslie A:
Will miss you Dave. Was a pleasure to be your colleague so many years. Peace and strength to your family.

:
Dave, you will be greatly missed at SWBOCES. You were the bright spot for all of us that worked with you. May God hold you and your family in the palm of his hands. Rest in Peace.

:
When you know some one for this many years you can’t help to feel a loss. Though sad is not the word I would use. I am still working on how to phrase it. You were kind and always had a smile. You would help though never asked to be bailed out. My life is the better to have known you. Dear friend you will be missed. My thoughts are brought to those that love you and know not how to awake without you. To go to sleep and wish to be with you always and know that it is not their time. I wish to comfort those I do not know and say those words no one wants to hear. It is an honor to think of you and smile; you live on in thoughts. I find it difficult now to think of you and not cry, though I know in time I hope to smile again and honor you again.

Eric Hernandez:
Dave my friend I just want to say thank you!! Thank you for making me feel at ease when I first came to work for LHRIC. Thank you for showing me the insides and outs of the RIC when I first came on board. Thank you for making me laugh and smile when I was going through my own personal rough times. Than you for helping me out with my son being stuck at WCC. You came to help with out any questions. Thank you for being my lunch buddy. Thank you for making me to the "Loop" for time to time to help me with my health. Thank you for always being supportive. Thank you for the "Pull Pork" you so proudly talk about. But mostly THANK YOU for being a TRUE FRIEND and Colleague. You are a true start and you will be missed by all.. We all have a small part of us that has gone with you.. May you rest in peace with God my friend...

It's rare and wonderful to witness 2 people who who are just perfect for each other. David & Maria seemed to understand the purpose of this existence in the way they loved so deeply, raised their family and built their life together. Love like that doesn't cease...it just transitions. David, you leave an amazing legacy and may your family and friends find peace and strength in the days ahead.

I'm very grateful to have known and worked with Dave for over a decade. He was a warm, fun person to be around. He was always available to help me out, and I learned a lot from him as I grew in my career. More importantly, he was a genuine person and I looked up to him. Especially the way he did BBQ! I'm going to miss you, Dave. Rest in peace, buddy.

Marcia Portner and Stu:
Sending our deepest condolences Many prayers to your family

Valencia Dawson:
Dave, we have not had as long a relationship as many people here BOCES, but for me it was meaningful. I learnt a lot from you and I appreciate it. We will miss our “banker.” Dave, you were a real family man, who spoke proudly and fondly about your lovely wife Maria. She was your universe. I remember you jokingly told us that you recently changed your cal phone and if you weren’t loyal to your wife you would have been in big trouble because your text messages were still going to your old phone which Maria now had. You loved your children who are both very talented and brilliant. You would proudly show me a new masterpiece one of your childern created each time they did something new. I used to tease you that they sure didn’t get their artistic talent from you and you would laugh and say, “you sure are right about that.” I will miss your sense of humor. You just recently told me that my Jamaican accent sounded like a New York accent. I will miss your annual BBQ which you took pride in hosting every year. I will miss you because you were just a great guy. May you rest in peace and my prayers are with your family at this time.

Valerie Bonaiuto:
I didn't know Dave well, but happened to call our HelpDesk for assistance on January 16th and was fortunate to get a response from Dave. I was so impressed with how patiently he tried to get to the root cause of my problem and felt an instant rapport with him. It was obvious how much he enjoyed solving problems and had a great sense of humor. I have since learned how well-loved he was by all that knew him and I can certainly see why. My sincere sympathy to his family. Valerie Bonaiuto

Ceesay:
Dave, you were the archetypal example of how “good” survives through time. You symbolized the common village mindset. The rare simple ability to be helpful, yet human; respectful, honest, warm and calming yet dedicated and professional to the core. May you inspire many more of us to carry to torch of “good” into the mist of tomorrow…

Mary Lynn:
Dave - it was an honor to have worked with you all these years. My life is that much better for having known someone like you. You are missed. Please take care and God bless

Booboo, today is my second saddest day. A day I never thought would come. Over the past few days, the kids and I reminisced over the million happy memories and funny stories of all of us. time. You done good baby, you done good

Booboo:
A fond memory. We were newly married, and David asked me what was for dinner. "Pork chops baby, but it's formal, so you need to wear a tie" knowing full well he didn't own a tie. He shows up hours later wearing a black work glove as a tie. I think I laughed for half an hour straight. The sight of him wearing that work glove as a tie will stay with me forever..

Dave, My world has truly become smaller with your leaving. We started as boss and employee, but rapidly became friends.
