Biography:
Michael J. Miele, passed away on July 21, 2017 in Pompano Beach, Florida. He was 103 years old. Michael was born on September 3, 1913 in Yonkers, New York to Peter and Angelina Amato Miele. Michael grew up in Yonkers, upon graduating high school, he worked for Eastern Aircraft and the Yonkers Sugar Refinery. He ultimately purchased Federman and Miele stationers with his brother-in-law Fred Petretti which they ran successfully for over 45 years. Michael married Linda Barra in 1939, a union which lasted 66 years until her death in 2005. He was a great family man who enjoyed many friendships over the years and loved to lend a hand to anyone who needed it. Michael is survived by his son Kenneth of Pompano Beach, Florida; Ronald (Lisa) of Danbury Connecticut; 4 grandchildren Jason, Chad, Linda and Chris and a great granddaughter Livia Rose. Michael is predeceased by his wife Linda, his brothers Joseph, Ralph, Nick and Anthony and his sisters Millie, Mary, Anna and Lena Reposing at FLOWER FUNERAL HOME, 714 Yonkers Ave. in Yonkers Tuesday 2-4 & 7-9 pm. A funeral service will be held at ST. JOHN THE BAPTIST church, 670 Yonkers Ave.,in Yonkers on Wednesday at 11:00. Entombment Ferncliff Mausoleum. www.FlowerFH.com
